Glassboard: 3D Printing for Metal Forming

Participants will learn how to design 3D models for dies using software such as Fusion 360 or Autodesk Inventor. They will then learn how to print their designs using Formlabs SLA 3D printers and prepare the printed dies for use in metal forming operations. The seminar will cover best practices for designing dies, including considerations for material properties, forming process, and die life. Participants will also learn about different materials that can be used for metal forming and how to select the appropriate material for their application. By the end of the seminar, participants will have a better understanding of the capabilities of Formlabs SLA 3D printers and the skills to create high-quality dies for use in metal forming.
